Lotus unveils its first-ever SUV, an all-electric high-performance vehicle called the Eletre. The Eletre has a battery capacity of over 100kWh and delivers over 600 hp while still managing to offer 373 miles (WLTP) of range. Built on a new 800v electric vehicle architecture, it can achieve a 248 mile range in just 20 minutes when plugged into a 350kW fast charger. When it comes to performance, the SUV can get from 0-62 in less than three seconds and it can reach a top speed of 161 mph.

Inside, the Eletre is equally high-tech and modern with the use of Kvadrat's sustainably-focused fabrics and there's a slim instrument panel, a 15" OLED center console display, an interactive lighting system, and a heads up display with AR technology. As for audio, KEF will offer two audio system options with a Premium system that boasts 1,380 watts of power and 15 speakers and a 2,160 watt Reference system that has 23 speakers and 3D surround sound technology.

The car will also make use of driver assistance systems and has all the standard safety features as well as one of the first deployable LIDAR systems seen in a production car that will allow for autonomous driving. Additional details include extensive storage space, wireless charging trays, 5G connectivity, and 23" machine-cut wheels with carbon fiber inserts and ceramic composite 10-piston caliper brakes.

The Eletre is now on sale and will deliver to customers in China and Europe in 2023. A US release date has not yet been finalized.
