Lincoln's first electric vehicle will be developed in collaboration with Rivian
The new model will be built on Rivian's skateboard platform.
With half a billion dollars invested in Rivian, Ford is announcing one of the first results of that partnership with the announcement of Lincoln's first all-electric car. Details are scant at the moment but what we do know is that the luxury EV will be an all-new model based on Rivian's versatile skateboard platform. The model expands on an already exciting lineup from the luxury marque, joining two plug-in hybrids with the Aviator and Corsair Grand Touring and a company-wide electrification strategy from Ford that also includes the upcoming Mach-E and the all-electric F-150.
