Originally launched in 1989, the Lexus LS, which is now in its fourth generation, has long been the Japanese answer to Europe's big, luxury flagships. And now the company is coming full circle to debut its fifth generation car at the very auto show where the car and Lexus itself made its worldwide debut.
Next week at the Detroit Auto Show, Lexus will lift the curtains on the fifth generation LS and by the looks of the teaser, its styling will be much bolder and much more in line with the current Lexus design language. The company has said the car will be more coupe-like in form, but without compromising cabin space. Also of note is that the 2018 LS will feature an extended version of the rear-wheel-drive platform found in the new LC500 sports coupe.
