Those seeking big and roomy luxury with the efficiency of a hybrid have a new option from Lexus' next-generation LS sedan. The flagship has a bold new look and is more than an inch longer than the LS 600h long wheelbase it replaces. The hybrid powertrain is a 3.5L V6 coupled to two electric motors that combine to deliver a total of 354-hp.
That powertrain is backed by the brand's Multi Stage Hybrid System that allows for great power delivery and more responsiveness. It will also be the first Lexus hybrid with manual shifting via paddles using the car's M driving mode.
The interior greets you with details unlike anything you've seen in a Lexus before. You'll find natural woodwork, hand-pleated door trim inspired by origami, and an "ornamentation panel" that features hand-carved glass that is polished by specialized Takumi craftsmen.
