The original Land Rover Defender continues to live on with a new V8 Edition

Land Rover isn't done with the original Defender just yet. The company has announced a new model to celebrate the company's 70th Anniversary with the Defender Works V8. Land Rover Classic will be fitting 5.0L, 405-hp V8s to 150 re-engineered D90s and D110s and both will feature an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. 0-60 will happen in 5.6 seconds and it will reach a top speed of 106 mph. 

Eight colorways will be available, including two satin finishes. All of the cars will have a Santorini Black roof, wheel arches, and grille with machined aluminum door handles, fuel filler cap, and hood lettering. Land Rover will also be releasing V8 Works-inspired upgrades for current owners such as power upgrades, high performance suspensions, and braking kits. 

The V8 Works Edition will be available in the UK, Middle East, North Africa, and the rest of Europe through personal import.
