Lamborghini has pulled the curtain a bit on its LMDh Prototype, revealing the first racing engine developed entirely by Squadra Corse. The twin-turbo V8 has a hybrid system that delivers 681 hp and is paired with a P1359 hybrid gearbox is developed by Xtra, power management and energy storage from Williams Advanced Engineering, and the electric motor is from Bosch Motorsport. Weighing just 2,270 lbs (without fuel), the car can hit a top speed of 211 mph, which should be more than fast enough when it enters competition at the FIA World Endurance Championship and the GTP class of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in 2024.
