Lamborghini has pulled wraps off of its Aventador SVJ, revealing a hypercar that will become the line's new flagship with a V12 that produces 770-hp, a 0-62 of 2.8 seconds, and a top speed in excess of 217 mph. Achieving these speeds (and stability) requires a whole lot of aerodynamic upgrades, which include a wider front that with a disconnected front splitter, a tri-dimensional air outlet on the hood, larger side intakes, a new rear wing, and much more.
Oh, and all those upgrades have proven themselves to be quite useful. Lamborghini has annihilated the Nürburgring-Nordschleife with a lap time of 6:44.97 minutes, which breaks the current lap record for production cars. The SVJ will also be released in a '63' model that refers to the year the company was founded and will feature a unique configuration that's limited to 63 cars and 900 total SVJs will be built.
