Koenigsegg just sneaked in with their Chiron-fighting Regera in production form and just like Molsheim's finest, it's also got 1,500-hp under the hood. Since it was revealed a year ago, the company has made a staggering 3,000+ changes to the car with a large focus of that centered on the new Direct Drive system and weight savings.

The new Direct Drive system was developed from the ground up to ditch the weight issues and complexities of a conventional gearbox allowing performance enhancements such as improved torque conversion at medium-high speeds when the car is quickly accelerating.

Alongside the gas engine is an electric motor with an 800 volt battery pack that helps the Regera put down incredible performance numbers like 0-62 in 2.8 seconds and 248 mph happens in just 20 seconds. Orders for the Regera are already being taken with deliveriese planned for the end of this year.
