Jeep reveals a Wrangler concept with a 6.4L V8 - Acquire

Ford is going all out with their Bronco reveal later tonight and before the highly-anticipated off-roader dominates headlines, Jeep sneaks in news of a new Wrangler powered by a 6.4L V8. The Wrangler Rubicon 392 Concept delivers a high-performance version of their Trail Rated SUV with a V8 that can produce 450 hp, 450 lb-ft of torque, and a 0-60 time of less than five seconds. 

Complementing the new V8 is an extensive list of upgrades that include a stronger eight-speed transmission, upgraded engine mounts, a modified frame, an upgraded suspension, Dana 44 axles, a Selec-track full-time two-speed transfer case, and Tru-Lok electric front and rear-axle locking differentials. Additional features include a Jeep Performance Parts two-inch lift kit from Mopar, Rubicon rock rails, steel bumpers with a Warn winch, 17-inch beadlock wheels, and 37-inch mud-terrain tires.
