Jaguar has been staging quite the comeback turning what was once a stodgy, decaying marque into a high performance powerhouse that is putting the British motoring back on the map in a big way. This Thursday, Jaguar will fully unveil their most incredible Special Operations project, a collection of six Lightweight E-Types.

Hand-built in England by Jaguar Heritage, the "new" E-Types will be available for sale as period competition vehicles of which six will be built and sold. The cars will feature a six-cylinder XK engine, aluminum block, wide-angle aluminum cylinder head, and a laundry list of components, all made of aluminum to the original spec.
