Chevy made some news with the reveal of the 2019 ZR1 back in November, but an independent team of engineering mad men in Maryland have an even faster Corvette and it's all electric. Genovation is making news once again with some new details of its C7-based GXE electric supercar. The all-electric powertrain features a dual-stack motor configuration paired with powerful inverters and a high-capacity 250kW battery pack that delivers some absolutely insane performance numbers.
The car will be able to produce 800-hp, 700 lb-ft of torque, and will be able to get from 0-60 in under three seconds and hit a top speed in excess of 220 mph, the first electric supercar to do so. Normal driving range will be rated at 175 miles per charge and you can equip the GXE with a dual-clutch paddle shifter or a 7-speed manual transmission.
75 GXEs will be produced and the first of those will be delivered later this year.
