Ford is making an unexpected edition to its ST performance lineup with the addition of the latest generation Edge. The car is first ever Ford SUV to wear the ST badge and receives upgrades to its suspension, handling, braking, and has the most powerful V6 in its category. It will also feature a new sport mode that tweaks the throttle response, shifting, and it enhances the exhaust note.
The 2.7L twin-turbo EcoBoost engine will produce 335-hp and 380 lb-ft of torque and is accompanied by an all-wheel drive system, 8-speed transmission, and an ST-tuned sport suspension. The styling also gets some sporty upgrades with a gloss black, wide mesh grille for improved cooling, updated side skirts, dual exhaust outlets, and 21-inch wheels.
The car also features race-inspired paddles, seat bolsters, scuff plates, and new technologies from the next-generation Edge that include features like post-collision braking, easive steering assist and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane centering.
