Famed automotive designer Henrik Fisker has unveiled his take on the Aston Martin Vanquish with his Thunderbolt design study. A collaboration between Fisker's design firm and Galpin Autsports, the Thunderbolt builds upon the Aston Martin flagship with custom hand-laid carbon fiber coachwork and an upgraded interior.
Sitting 15mm lower than Vanquish's standard ride height, the confident presence of the Thunderbolt is further accentuated by a large power dome with sculpted air intakes, redesigned headlights, 21-inch wheels, and an aluminum grille.
The special treatment extends into the interior where the dash gets a world's first: a Panasonic curved control screen which was designed to reduce glare and reflections and is adjustable in height. You'll also find a skeleton chronograph from watchmaker Maurice Lacroix, leather from Italian furniture label Natuzzi, and a dedicated champagne/wine bottle holder.
Fisker and Galpin have hinted at plans to produce the car in very limited quantities and if they indeed plan on producing the car it will be available exclusively through Galpin Aston Martin.
