Considered a benchmark to this day, the McLaren F1 is still considered to many to be the greatest supercar ever built and with a top speed of 240 mph, it had hypercar speed before that term became popular amongst enthusiasts. At this year's Bonhams Quail auction, one of the most significant examples of the car will be hitting the auction block as it is the first one to be imported to the USA.

Chassis number 044 is the 37th F1 produced and is rare specimen amongst the 64 F1s produced. This car is one of the seven American F1s be deemed road legal and has seen regular maintenance at BMW North America LLC. The car features its original Base Silver paint with a black/gray Connolly leather interior and only has 7,071 miles on the odometer.
