Ferrari unveils the 296 GTB with an all-new plug-in hybrid V6
Ferrari is focusing on performance and efficiency with its newest model, the 296 GTB. Powered by their first ever rear-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid system, the V6 PHEV produces 818 hp and can get from 0-62 in 2.9 seconds while on its way to a top speed of 205 mph. It can also reach 124 mph in just 7.3 seconds and the car stays firmly planted to the road with a LaFerrari-inspired rear spoiler that delivers up to 794 lbs of downforce at 155 mph.
The 296 GTB will have a number of driving modes at your disposal via the eManettino system that lets you switch from full EV, hybrid, Performance, and Qualify. In its full EV mode, the car can travel for up to 15.5 miles on electric power alone at speeds of up to 84 mph. On the inside, Ferrari's technical luxury aesthetic evolves with clean lines that mimic that styling of the exterior and you've got digital displays for both the driver and passenger.
The new 296 GTB will be available early 2022.
