How does one make the motorcycle equivalent of a unicorn into something even more special? Hand it over to bikebuilding upstart Federal Moto and you'll see what we're talking about.

The shop discovered a 1974 Norton Commando 850 that was in desperate need of some tlc and as you can see this is one bike that's gotten a whole lot of love. The directive of the project was to keep the charm of the Nortons from the 70s while modifying the design into something any Norton aficionado can appreciate. A few core elements from the the comprehensive re-build includes a cleaner, stronger, and restyled frame, burly Coker Diamond Tread tires, a classic '71 Norton oil tank, original engine, repurposed and redesigned fenders sourced from a '50s Triumph, and a modified set of '71 Norton Command SS pipes with Reverse Megaphone cone exhausts.
