The Europeans get all sorts of great cars we can't have and some of the best ones that we tend to drool over are the lightweight sports cars from brands such as Caterham and Lotus. Another one of those brands is Dutch automaker Donkervoort who just released a few details on their latest sports car and boy, does it look fun.

The D8 GTO-RS takes their D8 GTO platform and tweaks the aerodynamics and performance to get even more juice out of the car's Audi-sourced 2.5L R5 TFSI engine. The car also gets bigger and meaner with a wider track width and also features launch control, double clutch functionality, a new brake system, carbon fiber tunnel section, and a brand new suspension.

The D8 GTO-RS will be available to customers this summer with a limited run of 40 cars, of which 21 are already spoken for.
