While many are disappointed that the Charger as we know it is going away, Dodge isn't done with the legendary nameplate just yet. The company is fully embracing an all-electric future and today they're previewing the muscle car of the future with the Charger Daytona SRT Concept. Sleek and brutish, the aggressive bodywork hides what the company is calling an 800V Banshee propulsion system that is expected to exceed the performance of their SRT Hellcat engine while also producing an industry-first BEV exhaust sound that is as loud as a traditional Hellcat engine. The car will also feature an aerodynamic pass-through design called the R-Wing and an eRupt multi-speed transmission with electro-mechanical shifting.
