Delorean Alpha5

Delorean is back as an EV company and they have just unveiled their first new model, the Alpha5. Powered by a 100+kWh battery, the Alpha5 trades in the boxy lines of the DMC-12 for a 2+2 with a sleek silhouette penned by Italdesign. And yes, it does have the signature gullwing doors. When it comes to performance, the Alpha5 in its base spec can achieve a 0-60 time of 2.99 seconds, a top speed of 155 mph, and a driving range of over 300 miles. Oh, and for you aspiring time travelers, it will get to 88 mph in 4.35 seconds.

For those who want a closer look, the company plans to officially reveal the car to the public at the Pebble Beach Concours d ‘Elegance Award ramp on August 21st. Reservation information will also be released sometime this summer.
