You've never seen a Corvette quite like this before. The 2020 Stingray has been revealed and it debuts a radical redesign as the company's first mid-engine Corvette. Positioned as an attainable supercar, the new Stingray's mid-engine layout brings improved weight distribution and enhanced responsiveness all while maintaining daily driver practicality with dual trunks at the front and rear that have usable space for luggage or even two sets of golf clubs.
Moving to a mid-engine design also creates a bold new look with a canopy-forward stance that is said to be inspired by F22 and F35 fighter jets and its exotic new look would easily blend right in next to supercars that are triple the cost. Speaking of supercars, the C8 will deliver supercar-level performance with its 6.2L small block V8 LT2 engine that will produce a 0-60 time of under three seconds (with the Z51 performance package) putting it right in line with cars like the Ferrari F8 Tributo.
The new 2020 Corvette Stingray enters production later this year at its home in Bowling Green, Kentucky and will land at dealerships sometime next year. Pricing will start below $60,000.
