Many automakers have been looking into new ways to go about car ownership with companies looking into things like car sharing or subscription-based services. Volvo wants to make it really easy with what they're calling "Care by Volvo." The service is described as being as "easy and hassle free as having a phone."
And they're not kidding. The whole process starts with an online order page that is devoid of car salesman and endless negotiating. All that's needed from you is a monthly fee that's charged at a flat rate leaving users to not have to worry about things like down payments or even insurance. Everything is included in that flat rate (except fuel) and customers will be able to get a new car in as early as twelve months.
Normal purchasing and lease options will continue to be available and the service will first launch with the XC40. Pricing will be revealed this December at the 2017 LA Auto Show.
