Cadillac's racing program is getting a major new addition as the company is introducing its first prototype racer in 14 years. Making its debut at the 2017 24 hours of Daytona in January, the track-specific rocket will be powered by a 6.2L naturally aspirated V8, the very same engine found in the CTS-V and Escalade. The Cadillac DPi-V.R will whip around the track with 600 hp which can be controlled via the X-TRAC transverse sequential paddle-shift gearbox.
