We were all blown away when Cadillac announced the specs of the new CTS-V. An American super sedan that put out 640 hp and hit 200 mph? That set the bar pretty high, but apparently not high enough. Hennessey Performance wants bat$%@ performance out of the CTS-V and they're announcing a new upgrade that will put one-thousand ponies under the hood.

They're not just bringing a truckload of power into the mix, they hope to create the world's fastest four-door seadan and they're hoping to hit a top speed of 240 mph to achieve that record. A limited run of 24 HPE1000s will be built and all of them will feature a tweaked 6.2L V8 that swaps out the factory supercharger and adds twin turbos to create this monster of a sedan. If that's way too much power, Hennessey will offer a suite of upgrades for the CTS-V that include a 750 hp kit and an 800 hp kit.
