BMW marks the 50th anniversary of M performance with an all-new from-the-ground-up design called the XM. The Super-SUV is powered by the brand's M Hybrid drive system that produces 653 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque from the combination of a 4.4L M TwinPower Turbo V8 engine and an electric motor. As you can imagine, this behemoth is no slouch with a 0-62 time of 4.3 seconds while still delivering efficiency with an all-electric driving mode that has a range of up to 55 miles (WLTP).

At this same time next year, BMW will add to the XM line with a 'Label Red' model that be the most powerful M ever, delivering up to 748 hp and 737 lb-ft of torque. Behind that imposing hood is the driver-focused cockpit that is just as bold as the exterior with details like a BMW Curved Display, lounge-like rear seating, a sculptural headliner, and 100 LED units that illuminate the XM's interior. Additional details include an extensive array of driver and safety assistance system, 23" wheel options, and an M-specific version of the Live Cockpit Professional system.

The XM will arrive in the US at the end of this year and is available now for pre-order.
