BMW introduces the smallest option in its four-door coupe lineup, the all-new 2 Series Gran Coupe. The 2 Series Gran Coupe will be available in two models: the 228i xDrive Gran Coupe and the M235i xDrive Gran Coupe. The 228i model will be powered by a 2.0L four-cylinder that produces 228 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque while the M235i boosts the output to 301 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque. 0-60 in the 228i will happen in 6.0 seconds while the M235i cuts that time down to 4.7 seconds and it gets just a hair faster with a 4.6 second 0-60 time when the optional M Performance Package with overboost function is equipped.
The styling of the car is low and wide just like its larger siblings and all the modern BMW design elements are on full display such as the new BMW kidney grille and the angled headlights that house the four-eyed halo daytime running lights. The interior can be tricked out with a whole host of high-tech features such as their Live Cockpit Professional system that swaps out the analog instrument panel with a fully digital 10.25-inch display. As for interior trim, the 2 Series Gran Coupe can be spec'd out with a variety of leather options and there's an illuminated trim option that adds adjustable ambient lighting.
The 2 Series Gran Coupe is set to hit dealers in March 2020.
