Looking at Merc's CLA and Audi's A3, you'll find that BMW has yet to answer the competition with a compact sedan of their own. The answer may lie in the recent unveiling of their new Compact Sedan concept that may hint at an upcoming 1-Series four-door. The strong lines of the BMW's current design language create smaller yet perfect proportions in a sporty and aggressive design that should prove to be a striking option against its rivals if it gets greenlit for production.

The visual statement made by its exterior extends to the inside with lines and surfaces that emphasize the driver-focused cabin and luxurious materials like Nappa leather, open pore wood, and brushed aluminum combine to create a distinctive look that's is also unmistakably BMW.
