BMW is refreshing the i3 for the 2018 model year and with it comes an all-new model with a bigger presence and bigger performance. The new i3s gets an updated look that adds new front and rear aprons, a black finish for the bumper inlay and surroundings, front fascia side section accents in BMW i Blue or Frozen Grey, and additional hits of black on the kidney grille and the roofline.
When it comes to performance, the i3s will produce 184-hp and 199 lb-ft of torque, which will get it from 0-60 in 6.8 seconds and will hit a top speed of 100 mph. A two-cylinder range-extender option will also be available that gives it a total driving range of 180 miles.
Other features include standard full-LED headlights, sustainably sourced interiors, the new iDrive 6 interface, and updating home charging accessories that include a new cable with temperature sensor and a TurboCord EV Charger that has dual-voltage capability and a charging speed that is almost three times faster.
