Audi's new RS5 Sportback brings an ideal pairing of power and practicality

Audi enthusiasts were rightfully excited when the company announced that the A5 Sportback eas headed to the USA and much of that excitement was placed on the inevitability of an RS model. That day has come with the debut of the RS5 Sportback, a five-door, grocery-hauling monster with a 2.9 liter V6 biturbo that delivers 444-hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. 

How fast will that get you? From 0-60 you're looking at under four seconds and a top speed of 174 mph with the Dynamic plus package, you're limited to 155 without. You've also got quattro permanent four-wheel drive for versatility on both normal and challenging road conditions, a number of chassis upgrades, and an aggressive exterior update that features large RS-specific honeycomb air intakes and a matte alu-optic front spoiler with quattro script.

Audi expects the RS5 Sportback to reach American dealerships in the second half of the year.
