Looks like McLaren isn't the only company announcing a drop-top supercar today. Audi is completing the R8 lineup with their latest model, a V10-powered R8 Spyder. The Spyder V10 Plus will feature their most powerful series-production engine, a ten-cylinder, naturally-aspirated 610-hp engine that can get the R8 from 0-62 in 3.3 seconds and is capable of reaching a top speed of 203 mph.
The engine is matched with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that features a water-cooled electro-hydraulically activated multi-plate clutch (say that ten times fast) for the best performance possible. As for the soft-top, it takes 20 seconds to open/close and does it at up to 31 mph. Other standard features include R8 bucket seats, a ceramic brake system, and fixed rear spoilers made from carbon fiber-reinforced polymer.
The Audi R8 Spyder V10 Plus will hit dealerships later this summer.
