Audi's got some big shoes to fill with the next-generation Q5. The car has long been a best seller for the brand and even led the category for a number of years. For its second generation, the Q5 gets even more sporty with muscular lines and an array of powerful engines.
Though the car gets lighter, the car grows in just about every dimension and improved aerodynamics enhances ride comfort and reduced interior noise. All the new Audi tech can be found inside from the optional 12.3 inch Audi Virtual Cockpit and safety tech like Audi pre sense city that detects pedestrians and vehicles and applies an emergency brake in the event of a collision.
No word yet on what specific engines will power the American models, but Europe and other parts of the world will get a collection of TDI options and a gas-powered 252 hp TFSI option. Germany and Europe will get the new Q5 at the beginning of 2017. An American release has yet to be announced.
