You can't fault Tesla for helping to push the needle when it comes to electrification and their influence has caused the traditional luxury automakers to become much more aggressive with their EV strategies. Case in point: the Audi e-tron GT. The concept previews an electric sedan that is said to be two years away and will feature a sharp, coupe-like exterior that we hope will go mostly unchanged when it hits production.
The e-tron GT will boast 590-hp as well quattro all-wheel-drive for the of performance and handling you would expect from an Audi. 0-62 will happen in 3.5 seconds and will eventually (and quickly) reach 124 mph in just a little over 12 seconds. The top speed has been limited to 149 mph to maintain a better overall range, which is currently rated at 248 miles.
Audi expects to have the e-tron GT in customer's hands in 2021.
