Aston Martin's powerful sports coupe gets some new track-ready duds for 2016 with the debut of the Vantage GT8. Using their experience in GT racing, the new car builds on that DNA with a road car that's ready for the track. Inspired by the V8 Vantage GTE race car, the GT8 will be the lightest and most powerful Vantage in the lineup using an updated version of their 4.7L V8 engine that now pushes out 439 hp.

The car will be available with a proper six-speed manual or their seven-speed Sportshift automatic transmission. The GT8 will tout a comprehensive aerodynamic kit that includes a front splitter, front and rear bumpers, fenders, side sills, and a rear diffuser all done up in lightweight carbon fiber. An additional Aero Pack will add a large rear wing and front splitter enhancements.

Other details include a new 5-spoke wheel with an available magnesium wheel option, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, a polycarbonate rear screen, titanium exhausts, and more. On the inside you'll find carbon fiber seating a 160-watt audio system, and the newest version of their AMi infotainment system. Only 150 cars will be built and unfortunately won't be available for sale in North America.

£165,000 (est. $234357 USD),
