Aston Martin is adding a new convertible to the lineup with the introduction of the new Vantage Roadster. Just like its hardtop sibling, the Vantage Roadster will maintain its driver-focused dynamics with a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 that produces over 500 hp and allows for a 0-60 time of 3.7 seconds and a top speed o 190 mph. It also retains a number of features from the coupe such as Adaptive Damping, Dynamic Stability Control, Dynamic Torque Vectoring, and an Electronic Rear Differential.
As for roadster-specific tweaks, the car gets a custom tune for the rear dampers and updates to its Adaptive Damping system software and ESP calibration. It will also receive updates to its driving modes and it will also lay claim to the fastest roof mechanism on the market, which can retract in 6.7 seconds and deploy in 6.8 seconds at up to 31 mph. Additional details include a "vane" grille option, a new range of alloy wheel options, and a 7-speed manual transmission will also be available.
The new Vantage Roadster is set to deliver to customers in Q2 2020.
