Google doesn't just want a piece of the living room and your wrist, they're also hoping to take on automotive with an answer to Apple's Carplay with Android Auto. Google announced a huge list of partners who will be announcing compatibility with their new automotive platform and aims to get it out into cars later this year.
Plug your phone into your car and Android Auto will bring all your destinations and playlists into your dashboard connecting them with the platform's core suite of apps: Maps, Music, and Google Voice. You can use your steering wheel controls to activate Google Voice to control all your apps to help you keep your attention where it should be, on the road. Automotive partners include marques such as Audi, Chevy, Bentley, Mazda, Honda, Volkswagen, Volvo, Ford, Nissan, and many many more.
