Airstream is adding a new model to the Basecamp lineup with the larger Basecamp 20 and 20X. The new Basecamp 20 builds on the modern styling of the original model and adds increased length, width, and height, a larger convertible rear bed, an increase in storage, a convertible front dinette that can sleep up to four adults, two children, or one adult, and it can be optioned out with solar panels, a microwave, and an air conditioner. The 20X model adds Goodyear Off-Road DuraTrac tires, 12 inches of ground clearance, larger aluminum wheels, stainless steel front stone guard protection, tinted window guards, and a steel double step.
The Basecamp 20/20X has a base weight of 3,400 lbs (3,500 in the 20X) and can be towed by many small and mid-sized trucks and SUVs.
