Whether you're a Bimmerphile or an automotive enthusiast, you know the name AC Schnitzer. The tuner has had a long history in building some of the finest BMWs out there and this year they'll be bringing their skills to one of the company's most advanced cars in its history, the i8.

While the plug-in powertrain remains fully intact, the company has thoroughly upgraded the aerodynamics and lowered the car 25mm in the front and 20mm in the back for a more menacing on-road presence and improved driving dynamics.

There's also a whole host of carbon fiber elements throughout the car including a carbon front spoiler, carbon side skirts, and a carbon rear wing.

The wheels have also been upgraded with their new and lighter AC1 forged alloys that have a two-tone color scheme and a modern take on the double-spoke wheel design.
