The 2025 Ford Maverick gets all-wheel-drive, enhanced tech, and updated exterior
Ford's smallest truck is getting some serious upgrades in capability for the 2025 model year. The biggest update is the availability of a hybrid all-wheel-drive system that not only improves traction and towing capability but still manages to achieve 40 miles per gallon. More specifically, the 2.5L Hybrid produces 191 hp and 155 lb-ft of torque and has 2,000 lbs of towing capacity, which increases to 4,000 lbs of towing capacity when equipped with the optional 4K Towing Package.
Tech gets a big upgrade with SYNC 4 that replaces the original 8" display with a much larger 13.2" display that can wirelessly connect to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Other tech upgrades include a 360-degree camera, available Pro Trailer Hitch Assist and Pro Trailer Backup Assist which makes it easy and intuitive to use the Maverick with a trailer.
Styling has been thoroughly refreshed across the lineup with updates like dark appearance LED headlamps, a redesigned front bumper and grille, LED projector headlamps with LED signature accent lighting in the higher trims, new 19" wheel options for the Lariat, and premium two-tone leather options for the interior.
The new Maverick lineup will be available later this year.
