Land Rover unveils the 2023 Range Rover Sport
Hot of the release of the Range Rover flagship, Land Rover unveils its sportier sibling, the 2023 Range Rover Sport. The new model is the next recipient of the brand's new reductive design language, bringing a more minimalist look to the exterior while still capturing the muscular and agile essence of the Range Rover Sport aesthetic. This new styling houses four new powertrain options for the US market: a mild-hybrid 3.0L turbocharged inline-six with 355 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque, a "Dynamic" version of the same engine with 395 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque, a plug-in hybrid 3.0L turbocharged inline-six with 434 hp and 619 lb-ft of torque, and a range-topping 4.4L twin-turbo V8 with 523 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque.
For those looking for the efficiency of an electric, the PHEV option mentioned is estimated to deliver a range of 48 miles on electric power alone and a fully electric model is set for release in 2024. When it comes to handling and capability, the SUV will be available with the latest AWD technologies, Dynamic Air Suspension, improved driving dynamics with Adaptive Dynamics 2 technology, enhanced off-road performance via the Terrain Response 2 system, and the game-changing maneuverability of All-Wheel-Steering.
The interior is equipped with all the latest amenities, technologies, and safety systems. Inside you'll find 22-way heated and ventilated seats, upgraded ergonomics and comfort for the second row, the latest in cabin air purification technology, Meridian Audio with up to 1,430W of power, next-generation Active Noise Cancellation technology, and there's support for Wireless Apple CarPlay, Wireless Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa.
