The Polestar 2 gets more power and range for the 2023 model year
The Polestar 2 is getting some significant updates for the 2023 model year with a boost in range, performance upgrades, and an improved heat pump. The boost in range will affect the dual-motor model, which aims to add 11 miles for an estimated total of 260 miles of EPA range. For dual-motor models with the Performance Pack, a new software upgrade will add 68 hp and 15 lb-ft of torque. To better optimize the range in varying weather conditions, Polestar now offers an upgrade for the heat pump to improve range across a wider span of temperatures and an over-the-air update will be offered for existing cars that have the heat pump equipped.
As for design upgrades, the car adds a new Space black option from the Polestar 1 and a gold-toned "Jupiter" (above) colorway. There are also new 19" and 20" wheel designs, Bridge of Weir leather options, a new Light Ash wood trim option, and a removable mesh shade for cars with the panoramic glass roof. Lastly, Plus Pack models will have an advanced cabin air filter with a new air quality sensor to improve cabin air quality while allowing drivers to see a breakdown of the air circulating around the car.
