Nissan unveils the seventh-generation Z
The seventh-generation Nissan Z has been unveiled in its production form, bringing more power and a retro-inspired design that borrows design elements from models like the original 240Z and the 300ZX. Powered by a 3.0L twin-turbo V6, the Nissan Z produces 400 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque and can be equipped with either a six-speed close-ratio manual transmission with an EXEDY high-performance clutch or an all-new 9-speed automatic with aluminum paddle shifters that feature the same design as the ones found on the GT-R.
On the inside, the car is designed with vintage details from previous Z generations and modern touches such as a 12.3" display for the dashboard and an 8" display for the center console. Standard interior equipment includes features like a RearView Monitor, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, front and rear sensors, and CarPlay and Android Auto. Optionally, the car can be upgraded with the Z Performance kit that includes a 9" touchscreen, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and an 8-speaker Bose Audio system.
The 2023 Nissan Z goes on sale next spring.
