Honda has unveiled the fastest vehicle its ever sold in the US with the launch of the 11th generation Civic Type R. While its styling is a bit more restrained than the previous models, the car is a Type R through and through with a turbocharged 2.0L engine, an upgraded six-speed manual, and an array of aerodynamic upgrades. These upgrades include larger fenders, a more aggressive front bumper with a honeycomb grille mesh, larger front fender grilles, a new side sill design, a redesigned rear spoiler, a reshaped rear bumper, and a new rear diffuser. The interior will feature the Type R's signature red seats, carpet, and trim and the car will be offered in Historic Championship White, Rallye Red, Crystal Black Pearl, and Sonic Grey Pearl.

Performance numbers will be revealed closer to the car's launch this fall.
