Ford officially joins the #vanlife world with the Transit Trail
Ford is adding a rugged new model to its Transit line with the upcoming Transit Trail. Available in medium, high-roof, and high-roof extended-length configurations, the Transit Trail is powered by a 3.5L V6 that produces 310 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. When you make your way off the asphalt, the Trail's AWD system can kick in with five selectable drive modes that include Normal, Ico, Mud/Ruts, Tow/Haul, and Slippery. It's also 3.5" higher and has a 2.75" wider track, 30.5" Goodyear Wrangler Workhouse all-terrain tires, and 16" black alloy wheels. Additional features include a black grille with integrated marker lamps and black HID headlamps, a skid plate-style front bumper, splash guards, wheel arch cladding, front wheel arch liners, slider-style steps on both the driver and passenger side, and a heavy-duty trailer package is available with up to 6,500 lbs of towing capacity.
