BMW unveils the long-awaited M4 CSL, a special edition of the high-performance coupe that adds an extensive list of engine and aerodynamic upgrades. The M TwinPower Turbo inline-six produced 543 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque, allowing for a 0-60 time of 3.6 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 191 mph. It also sees a 240 lb reduction in weight due to its extensive use of lightweight materials such as a CFRP body, chassis, and interior components, M Carbon ceramic brakes, lightweight sound insulation, and various other modifications. 

The car also makes use of BMW's Laserlight technology with an innovative rear light detail that is comprised of light threads that create a new interpretation of the brand's L-shaped rear light contour. Additional features include an M4 CSL exclusive front-end strut brace. an exhaust system with titanium rear silencers, model-specific light-alloy wheels, M Carbon full bucket seats, a CFRP center console structure, and a 0.3" lower ride height than its sibling, the M4 Competition. 

1,000 2023 BMW M4 CSLs will be produced and production begins this July.
