2021 Mercedes-Benz S Class

The all-new 2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class has been revealed and as you would expect, the flagship has an extensive list of new features that the brand hopes will continue to make it the best-selling luxury sedan in the world. A touch longer and wider, the exterior of the new S-Class has a more refined look with reduced character lines and details like seamless door handles that sit flush and electronically deploy once the driver approaches the car.

Power will come from two engine options for the US: an S500 4MATIC with a 3.0L inline-six with 429 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque and an S580 4MATIC with a 4.0L V8 Biturbo with 496 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. Both models feature EQ Boost, a 9G-TRONIC transmission, and the 0-60 time for both engines have yet to be announced. The new suspension system enhances ride comfort and when specified with the new rear-axle steering system, maneuverability is enhanced for improved handling on tighter roads.

Of course, the car is loaded with tons of technology and safety features with highlights like a 30 speaker Burmester 4D sound system, highly adjustable seating, 10 different massage programs, an augmented reality head-up display, an enhanced MBUX infotainment system, a 12.8" OLED display, an interactive, fiber-optic Active Ambient Lighting system, and advanced safety features like E-ACTIVE Body Control suspension that instantly raises the car by up to 3 inches in the event of a side impact.
