2020 VW Atlas Cross Sport

Volkswagen is introducing a new variant of its flagship SUV with the debut of the Atlas Cross Sport. The new model takes the Atlas styling and reimagines it with a more coupe-like form that is 2.8 inches shorter and 2.3 inches lower than the standard Atlas. The bolder look is further amplified with its three-bar chrome grille, a new light design, and redesigned front bumper with an updated hood that recreates the styling of the well-received concept previewed last year.

A number of interior upgrades have also ben made to the interior with an updated steering wheel, improved controls, available stitching accents, optional wireless charging, a 12-speaker Fender audio system, and a Volkswagen Digital Cockpit, which will be available on the SEL and SEL Premium trims. As for performance, the Cross Sport will launch with two engine options: a 276-hp V6 and a 235-hp four-cylinder turbo. Both models will be available with VW's 4Motion all-wheel-drive system.

The new Atlas Cross Sport will launch in Spring 2020.
