Ford reveals its re-designed 2020 Explorer
Ford's highest volume SUV has received a full redesign and an all-new rear-wheel-drive architecture for the 2020 model year. The company has set its sights on luxury marques such as Land Rover with a combination of performance and technology at an affordable price point. Every element of the SUV has been enhanced from its on and off-road capability and an available 3.0L turbocharged EcoBoost V6 that produces 365 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque, making it the most powerful Explorer to date.
On the technology side, Ford equipped the new Explorer with standard driver assist features such as Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Pedestrian Detection, Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot with Cross-Traffic Alert, a Lane-Keeping system, and a rearview camera with built-in lens cleaner. You'll also find a 4G LTE hotspot, an available 10.3-inch touch screen, an available wireless charging pad, available 14-speaker B&O audio, and an available 12.3-inch all-digital instrument cluster.
Available this summer.
