One of the biggest complaints about the Maybach trim is that its visual upgrades don't justify their higher price tags when the standard S models are already just as good. For 2019, Mercedes wants to further differentiate the models with a number of refinements to make it even more worthy of the Maybach badge.
The biggest exterior update will be the all-new grille, which swaps out the previous design for vertical struts that are inspired by a pinstriped suit. This is also joined by a new two-tone finish option that will be offered in nine different combinations and will also include a double clear coat option for darker colors to create a piano lacquer-like finish.
Other details include a new 20-inch multi-spoke wheel design that will join three exclusive Maybach-only wheel options and exclusive Nappa leather upholstery with copper, gold, or platinum-colored contrast stitching.
The new Mercedes-Maybach will be available later this summer.
