Lexus reveals the all-new ES and ES F Sport
The Lexus ES is getting a dramatic redesign with the debut of the seventh generation model and for the time ever, an F Sport trim option. Described as "provocative elegance" by Chief Designer, Yasuo Kajino, who has translated the design language from the LC and LS into the mid-size sedan. The design definitely makes more a statement than previous ES models with its aggressive design and a larger footprint that adds 2.6-inches of length and is 1.8-inches wider.
The wheelbase also grows by two-inches and the lower stance gives it a sportier look. The F Sport model will add a rear spoiler, a dark lower varlance, and 19-inch wheels that are similar to the wheel design found on the LC coupe. The ES 350 models will have a 3.5L V6 that produces 302-hp while the hybrid-powered 300h will have a 2.5L engine and an electric motor that produces 215-hp and is estimated to be rated at 44 mpg in combined driving.
