The Bullitt Mustang is back with a third generation model that pays tribute to the original 1968 Mustang driven by Steven McQueen in that iconic car chase. Wrapped in Dark Highland Green, the car will be powered by a 5.0L V8 that has been retuned to produce 475-hp and 420 lb-ft of torque, which will allow for a top speed of 163 mph, 8 mph faster than the standard GT. The engine will be coupled with a six-speed manual with a cue ball knob just like the original.
The new Bullitt gets a number of performance enhancements including an active valve performance exhaust system with black NitroPlate exhaust tips, an open air induction system, and a Shelby GT350 intake manifold. Other details include torque thrust 19-inch aluminum wheels, red Brembo brakes, and a badge-less black front-grille. A faux gas cap Bullitt logo on the rear completes the look.
Alongside those features, buyers will be able to choose from three options: a Bullitt Electronics Package with navigation, driver memory seats and mirrors, a premium sound system, blind spot detection, a MagneRide semi-active suspension system, and Recaro leather-trimmed seats.
The 2019 Mustang Bullitt will be available this June in Dark Highland Green or Shadow Black.
