BMW has revealed some additional details about the upcoming Z4 Roadster line with the announcement of a four-cylinder sDrive30i model that will arrive in March 2019 and a Z4 M40i Roadster that will follow in 2020. The sDrive30i will boast a 2.0L four-cylinder engine with 255 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque and a 0-60 time of 5.2 seconds.
The 3.0-liter six-cylinder of the Z4 M40i will have a straight-six that will produce 382 hp and will get from 0-60 in 4.4 seconds. Both cars will have an 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission standard and it will have a launch control model as well as M-specific shift tweaks on the M40i model.
The M model will also feature an adaptive M Sport suspension, M Sport brakes, M Sport differential standard and all of these features will be available as an option on the sDrive30i. Other features include standard 18-inch wheels with a 19-inch option, integrated trunk lid spoiler, electric sport seating, a trunk with 50% more storage capacity, and the seventh generation of BMW iDrive.
